Առակը բաղկացած է երկու մասից՝ սյուժեից և բարոխոսությունից։

Առաջին առակի իմասիտը կայանում է նրանում, որ յուրաքանչյուր մարդու հետ անհրաժեշտ է վարվել այնպես, ինչպես կուզես, որ քեզ հետ վարվեն։
Երկրորդ առակը ցույց է տալիս մայրական սերը։

Երկու կանայք ի՞նչ դժվարին հարց են ներկայացնում Սողոմոնին։
Երկու կանայք ապրում էին նույնը տանը։ Մի գիշեր մեկի որդին մահանում է։ Օգտվելով առիթից, որ մյուս կինը քնած էր, մահացած տղայի մայրը տեղերով փոխում է տղաներին։ Սակայն մյուս կինը արթնանալուց հասկանում է, որ այդ տղան նրանը չէ։ Եկել էին Սողոմոնի մոտ, որպեսզի պարզեն, թե տղան ում որդին էր։

Ինչպես տեսնում ես նկարում, Սողոմոնն ինչպե՞ս է լուծում այդ հարցը։
Սողոմոնը հրամայում է երեխային երկու կես անել։ Մահացաց տղայի մայրը համաձայնվում է, բայց իսկական մայրը՝ ոչ։ Նա ասում է, որ չկիսեն և տան մահացաց տղայի մորը։ Այստեղ Սողոմոնը հասկանում է, թե ով էր տղայի իսկական մայրը։
